I know from my experience of being a patient getting in touch with a doctor can be frustrating. And the wait times, to get an appointment or in the waiting room, let’s not even go there.
But more than that, just being in a traditional doctor’s office can raise blood pressure and cause anxiety.
I am Dr. Matthew Lee, and I am bringing you a new model of medicine.
I opened a small medical practice where I make the rules. A more casual encounter, personal attention and the time to hear what you have to say. I have found many patients do not feel heard when they see their doctor, I am changing that. I take the time to get to know you.
I like to collaborate with my patients and find a plan of health that works for them, fitting into their lifestyle, not cookie cutter medicine, because one size does not fit all. I seek to find the underlying cause of symptoms, instead of just treating the symptoms with medications.
First I was a pharmacist, then I became a physician, combining these professions I have a complete understanding of what health means, and the ability to reduce the number of medications my patients take.
Prescribing medications is necessary in some instances. However, prescribing a medication is not always my initial path of action. I am firm believer in alternative and complementary therapies and the role they play in health and wellness, and will attempt to implement those first.
